A Day in the Life: May 28th

Wea.  Hot                                    THU. MAY 28, 1896               Ther.

Went to school.  They began raising the barn today.

Not "our" barn but a wonderful photo just the same.

Wea. Windy                                 SAT. MAY 28, 1898                 Ther.

Went to the factory + then dropped potatoes until about 2 o’clock when we finished.  Blaine came up we went over to Harrington’s dam (to swim).  In eve Bert + I went to singing school.

Wea.                                             SUN. MAY 28, 1899                 Ther.

Rained last night quite hard.  Went to S.S.  After S.S. went home with Mearle Cowan then we went to the burg to church in the eve.

Painted on the barn finished it.  In eve went fishing.


(Aged 19)
Wea.                                              TUE. MAY 28, 1901                Ther.

Rained all day.  Took my pig off. 143lbs @ 7 cents $10.00  Alice went over to Pa’s.

Went to factory.  Gail dragged.  I drilled corn.
