Ma went down to see Aunt Em they think she will die.  Went to school.

Visited with Gib in A.M. after I got back from the factory.  In P.M. went to bed.  Lucy Thayer over about 6 o’clock.

Rode my wheel to school.  Got a letter from Elmer Warn.

Painted and planted potatoes.  In eve Frank Warn was down.

Editor's Note:  The news of Aunt Em is just ghastly.  That is what I meant back on April 30th with the passing of a "sad check".  She is Nora's younger sister, mother of Blaine Fenton and, at 38 years old, she is dying.

There were two Lucy Thayers in Carroll and they must have been related somehow but I can't readily find a link.  One was born in the 1840s and the other, who is likely the one mentioned above, was born a few years after Allen and was from the Thayer family the next farm over.
