A Day in the Life: December 27th


(Aged 15)
Wea.                                           SUN. DEC. 27, 1896               Ther. 

Rollie, Ma + I went up to Pope Hollow Sunday School.  Charley went up to see Iva White he asked her to marry him.  He said it is the first time he has seen her.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                            TUE. DEC. 27, 1898               Ther.

In A.M. Ma + I went to Jamestown.  Got me a new overcoat came back and I stopped at the burg to the singing school.  eat supper at Mrs. Mason’s then went to singing school.  In eve went home with Lydia Lawson.  Rode home with Leon.

Wea.                                             WED. DEC. 27, 1899               Ther.

Stayed at home all day + read.  In P.M. drew a load of wood .  Pa took a load of corn to the burg.  Got a letter from Edna Watsons.



(Aged 19)
Wea.                                              THU. DEC. 27, 1900                 Ther.

In fore noon had a few words with Will Rhodes and went up to add’s (?) to settle it.  In afternoon + evening stayed at home along. XXX


(Aged 20)
Wea.                                             FRI. DEC. 27, 1901                Ther.

Greased harness helped pa draw a load of wood.  Went to factory.  Pearle + Ruth went home.



(Aged 21)
Wea.                                               SAT.  DEC. 27, 1902             Ther.

Drew 4 load of manure.

Editor's Note:  The only local Iva White I find was born in 1866 in Warren, Pa.  I have no idea if this is the intended of Charley.  I think he didn't succeed with his proposal because I can't find a couple with those names in the census.

I can't believe Allen had "words" with anyone and much less Will Rhodes who seems to be a comrade.
