Stayed at home all day.

Got up about 7.30 A.M my leg is some what better.   Pa + Ma went to the burg.  Rollie and I went up in the sugar bush and killed 2 red squirrels.  May Walter’s is sick so Geo can’t work.  Chas slater cut wood.

Stayed at home all day.  Pa went to the burg.

Came home from Alice’s about 11 o’clock.  XX

Done chores in A.M.  In P.M. Alice Jim + I went to pa’s.  In eve Andrew, Hattie, Pearl, Ruth Ester + Della Morris were down.  Had a cow slink.

Drew out 4 load of manure.  In eve Alice, Rollie + I went to town to the opera.  “The Old Mill Stream”.

Editor's Note: So I'm learning something new even here at the end of the year. I'd never heard of a cow slinking which means to have your calf prematurely.  Also, slink can be the soft unborn animal's hide used for gloves.  "Fabulous" said Peta and the vegan.

I couldn't find the play "Old Mill Stream"  and funnily enough it predates the song "Down by the Old Mill Stream"  by at least two years.  I'd imagine they must have some connection but maybe not.
