A Day in the Life: May 5th

Went to school. Ma+ Rollie carried me to school + got grandma Mason to come up + help her.

Wea.                                            THU. MAY 5, 1898               Ther.

Rode my wheel to school and of course it rained hard + coming home I got covered with mud + awful wet.  Had a fine time cleaning my wheel up.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                             FRI. MAY 5, 1899               Ther.

Rode my wheel to school.  I took part in the exercises as today is Abdor day.  Ma, Rollie, Aunt Maryanne + Effie went to town.

In eve went up to Grouts after potatoes but didn’t get any.

It seems to be potato season.  Card found here.

Wea.                                              SAT. MAY 5, 1900                 Ther.

Worked about 2 hours.  Skinned a calf + sold it for .40 cents.  Printed pictures for the school.  In eve went up to Frank Warn’s.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL MAY 22nd



(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               MON.  MAY 5, 1902             Ther.

Went to factory.  Gail + I fixed fence.  Cut one of the page calves.  Turned the cows back of Jim Smith’s for the first time.



(Aged 21)
Wea.                                               TUE.  MAY 5, 1903                  Ther.

Worked fixing hog pen and at corn ground.  Huckleberry brought up my hogs.
