A Day in the Life: September 14th



(Aged 14)
Wea.                                           MON. SEPT. 14, 1896               Ther. 

I drove to school brought my front wheel home going to take it to town Wed.  Mrs. Mason came home with me.



(Aged 16)
Wea.                                            WED. SEPT. 14, 1898               Ther.

Rode my wheel to school broke the chain.  In eve went up to Harry Prettie’s to an ice cream social.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                             THU. SEPT. 14, 1899               Ther.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 2nd.



(Aged 18)
Wea.                                             FRI. SEPT. 14, 1900                 Ther.

Went to school with Gordon.  After school went to town with Effie brought Alice home.


(Aged 19)
Wea.                                              SAT. SEPT. 14, 1901                Ther.

Worked all day.


(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               SUN.  SEPT. 14, 1902                Ther.

Took Pearle up home.  Stayed at home the rest of the day.


(Aged 21)
Wea.                                              MON.  SEPT. 14, 1903                  Ther.


NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10th.

Editor's Note: What Allen really needed was a fleet of bicycles so he'd never be down a ride.  His bikes come across less than sturdy machines.

  1. I have enjoyed reading your blog entries. What a treasure in those journals you have. I don't have journals, but I do have many letters and postcards that belonged to my great grandmother. Lucky for me she loved to write. Thanks for sharing!
