Asa + Effie came out had a good time.

Went to factory.  Stayed at home all day.

Slept all day.  In eve Alice + I took a drive.  She made me a promise which she can’t keep.

Alice, Ma + I went to town.  I joined the Grange cost $3.00.

Wea.                                               TUE.  SEPT. 2, 1902             Ther.

Gail helped Frankie Kineston thrash A.M.  In P.M. dug for the silo.

Editor's Note: The nearest Grange I find is in Kennedy, NY today.  However, there may have been one right in the burg.  Does anyone local know?

Just what promise can't Alice keep?  I feel Allen has made this claim about Alice before for some reason.  Maybe back in June.  Hmm,  I'll look into that.
