Croquet, Okay?

A Day in the Life: August 5th

(Aged 14)
Wea.                                           WED. AUG. 5, 1896               Ther.

Stayed at home.  Ma went to see Aunt Em.

(Aged 16)
Wea.                                             FRI. AUG. 5, 1898               Ther.

Ma, Rollie + I all went over to Corydon to Aunt MaryAnn’s.  Ma + Rollie are to stay a week.  I come home tomorrow.  Played croquette most of the time.  In eve Aunt MaryAnn, Mable + I went to church.

Wea.                                             SAT. AUG. 5, 1899               Ther.

In A.M. went in swimming + went up to Taylor’s.  In P.M. played ball at Frewsburg.  The Ivories vs. the Frewsburgs.  I played with Ivory.  Ivory won score 25-21.

(Aged 18)

Wea.                                              SUN. AUG. 5, 1900                 Ther.

Gordon called.  Lent him my hat and bike.  Slept all morning and got up on time for dinner.  In P.M. Alice and I drove to town then took a ride with Leon Page and Miss Chambers.

(Aged 19)

Wea.                                              MON. AUG. 5, 1901                Ther.

Got the reaper and fixed it and reaped the three cornered piece.

Hayed it.

Editor's Note:  MaryAnn is Nora's Aunt on her mother Lydia Stryker's side.   Mabel most likely is Mabel Servis daughter of Cora Stryker--Nora's first cousin.
