Editor's Note: I recently found this xerox of Lone Pine in my papers and it seems Diantha had her own house across the road from Lone Pine.  However, Lone Pine was definitely hers with her husband Judd Smith Cass and where she lived with her son Frank and daughter Mary in her early widowhood.  Perhaps she moved out when Frank and Nora started their family or when Frank and Nora moved to Valley Gate so that Lone Pine could be rented out to a tenant farmer.  If anyone has a spare day to look at old property maps/records in Carroll...Okay, a girl could hope.  :-)

Diantha passed away just a two weeks after turning 89.
