Editor's Note:  In 1896, I believe the friction with Frank continues even though he says he stayed with Mrs. Mason because he didn't have a ride home, the next night he is at Grandma Cass' for the night.  I think they're giving each other a little distance.

In 1899, doesn't it seem like Allen is sitting at the kitchen table writing in his journal listening to his pa conduct business?  First Chas is staying and then it is scratched out and Pa settles up with him instead.

1901--Allen and Alice spend their first night in their own home!   On my huge wish list of things to do is finding a map of the area from this time and seeing where everyone lived and what house might have been called Elm Wood.

  1. Elmwood is a street in Falconer- maybe is it possible that is where he was referring too? Great Blog! I am enjoying reading it!
