Went to school. I kept fires at school.

Went to school. Luella rode home with me. In eve Pa + Ma went up to Herman Anderson’s to a social. Raynor sprained his ankle playing football.
(Aged 18)
Wea. SAT. DEC. 16, 1899 Ther.
Stayed at the Pine Tree school house all the P.M. Rosa O’Grady was down there too with some of the other young folks. Fred went over into Rome Township billing. In eve showed at Pine Tree. Cassie Connors was there. I visited with her + Abbie Fish of Centerville all through the evening. After the show was over I took Cassie home. Got a letter from home. Stayed all night at Henry Roswell’s.

Stayed at home all day. Pa, Ma + Rollie went to S.S. In eve went up to see Alice, my betrothed. Xx

Ray went up + got my sleds from Elmer’s + pa took over our team + wagon + got him a load of coal. We put a partition between Dandy + Maude.

Drew bolts to Smedley. Finished drawing 2 in bolts.
Editor's Note: I wonder if Herman Anderson was a relative of the folks who own Anderson's Tavern? It seems likely.
Are the girls coming to the show for the magic lantern or the cute boy?
