Went to school.  I kept fires at school.

Wea.                                          THU. DEC. 15, 1898               Ther.

Went to school.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                           FRI. DEC. 15, 1899               Ther.

Stayed at Grave’s till about 3 o’clock.  He is going to make me a crutch and send me.  In eve showed at Whitman School.  Took in $1.20.  Stayed all night at Harrison Marsh’s.

(Aged 19)
Wea.                                           SAT. DEC. 15, 1900                 Ther.

Went to burg in A.M. Got me a pair of felts.  Alice came down to see me.  She went home after supper.  We did nothing but fight.  In evening I read.

Went to factory.  Stayed at home all day.

Drew bolts to Smedley’s.

Editor's Note: I love how Allen inspired generosity in others as when the man let him spend the night in the auditorium for free and now the man who wants to make him a crutch. 

Nerves are still jumping in the run-up to the wedding.  What were they fighting over?  And waht are felts?  I was thinking warm clothes for the winter but I couldn't find a proper reference.
