A Day in the Life: November 25th



(Aged 14)
Wea.                                           WED. NOV. 25, 1896               Ther.

Went to school.  Brought home the grist of meal.



(Aged 16)
Wea.                                             FRI. NOV. 25, 1898               Ther.

Went down on Webster Place + cut brush in A.M. In P.M. Ma + I went down to Rollie’s school.  They spoke pieces.  Walked up with Irma Bunce.



(Aged 17)
Wea.                                             SAT. NOV. 25, 1899               Ther.

Stayed about Graham’s all day.  Stayed there all night.



(Aged 18)
Wea.                                              SUN. NOV. 25, 1900                 Ther.

Went over to Grandma’s and put in the window lights. In eve went up to see Alice.  Told her that what I told her concerning Ruth Davis was all a humbug. xx


(Aged 19)
Wea.                                              MON. NOV. 25, 1901                Ther.

Went to factory and worked at stable.



(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               TUE.  NOV. 25, 1902             Ther.

Drew down 2 load of straw to horse barn.  Took Alice down to the burg to a church dinner.

Editor's Note:  I went back through the journals to find out who Ruth Davis was and have reminded myself that she was in fact Miss Ruth Davis of Olean who first appeared in the May 1900 as a guest of the Bunce family.  Allen took Ruth out driving a few times while Alice was working in her "situation" in Jamestown back in May and June 1900.  I don't know why Allen is telling Alice about it now much less admitting it was humbug but I'm guessing this "confession" has something to do with the bad time he had at Frank Warn's party the night before.
