(Aged 14)
Wea.                                         TUE. OCT. 20, 1896               Ther.

Geo came down but did not work.  I went to school.  Took Mrs. Mason’s buggy home.



(Aged 16)
Wea.                                          THU. OCT. 20, 1898               Ther.

Rode down + back from school with Ada Page.   Played football.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                           FRI. OCT. 20, 1899               Ther.

Worked all day in the packing house.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                           SAT. OCT. 20, 1900                 Ther.

Stayed at home in A.M.  In P.M. went to a ball play up the hollow.  I umpired.   In eve went down to the burg after Ma + Pa.


(Aged 19)
Wea.                                            SUN. OCT. 20, 1901                Ther.

Stayed at home all day.


(Aged 20)
Wea.                                             MON.  OCT. 20, 1902             Ther.

Worked in ditch.  I went down to where Kineston was sawing.


(Aged 21)
Wea.                                              TUE.  OCT. 20, 1903                  Ther.

Stayed at home with Alice.  John came home.  The cattle brought $686.70.  Lost very badly.  John + I settled up.

Editor's Note:  Twelve years ago today we lost our father.  Two years prior to that we were lucky enough to share a visit to London with him.  Here we are at the Tower of London.

  2. Well, I still have that leather jacket that I bought from Wilson Leather (in a mall in Rochester...ugh) in '86. I lost the scarf only two years ago. The glasses broke right after Charlotte was born and, oh yeah, the guy in the middle is long gone and forever in my heart. At least that pesky little sister keeps hanging around, thank goodness.
