(Aged 14)

In A.M. Pa, Rollie, Charlie + I went hunting pa killed one squirrel.  In P.M, husked corn.  I husked 4 bu.

Wea.                                             MON. OCT. 17, 1898               Ther.

Went to school with Mearle Cowan + back with Randsom King. 

1880 Cenus: I think Randsom was actually Ransom born in 1876. Looks like his father died while he was still quite young.

Worked in the basket factory all day.


(Aged 18)

Went to school with Gordon.  In eve studied.



(Aged 19)

Chas husked corn 18 bu.  Will + I tinkered around.


(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               FRI.  OCT. 17, 1902             Ther.

Shingled on kitchen.



(Aged 21)
Wea.                                              SAT.  OCT. 17, 1903                  Ther.

Loaded a car of cattle.  16 stears (sic),  3 heifers,  2 cows, 2 bull.  Cost $742.  John went with them.

Editor's Note: See what I meant yesterday?  If even Pa is hunting squirrel then the family is darn well eating it.  And blast from the past Randsom King is still around?  Are you kidding?  I thought he hightailed it late spring when Frank pulled his lazy butt out of bed.  I know he's not working on the Cass Farm but apparently not all doors were closed to him.
