Wea.                                             SAT. AUG. 8, 1896                Ther.

Pa + I sat up oats.  Geo reap.  Pa + Ma went to the burg in the evening.  Great speach (sic) to the burg tonight.

Wea.                                             MON. AUG. 8, 1898               Ther.

Got breakfast + dinner.  Pa milked in the morning + I went to factory.  My bees are still in the hive.

Went fishing with Ray Lawson + Rollie.  Didn’t get anything.

Wea.                                              THU. AUG. 8, 1901                Ther.

Put in scaffolds in the barn.


(Aged 20)

Wea.                                               FRI.  AUG. 8, 1902             Ther.

Shook out some and got in 1 load.  Went up to Herm Anderson’s to an ice cream social in eve.

NO ENTRY MADE AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10th.

Editor's Note:
  Allen has runaway and though he will make entries they will be scarce and not very enlightening.  But this is going to be a long absence.  I think it's Allen's big push to show Frank that he is his own man.  Funny that just 3 years earlier in 1896 Allen seems awed by Frank's speech to the burg.
