Editor's Note: Sadly, I can't figure out who Stella Thayer was.  If she is of the local Thayer family, why not stay with them?  And how does she know our man and why does she go all Mae West on him with the "Come up and see me sometime?"  In 1900 two of the Warn brothers Elmer and Frank seem to be living on their own which suggests when Allen goes up to Frank Warn's they really are able to enjoy the freedom of young adults out of the house for the first time.  Frank was already 20 in 1899 and Elmer was older still.  I just found out that there was a Warn brother the same age as Allen--Lawrence.  I am curious that Allen never mentions him as part of their paling around.
