A Day in the Life: June 22nd

Happy Birthday Grandma Mason!


(Aged 14)
Wea. fine                                  MON. JUNE 22, 1896               Ther. 

Worked all day.  Rollie + Ma went down to Grandma Mason’s she had birthday party.  She is 70 years old.


(Aged 16)
Wea.                                           WED. JUNE 22, 1898               Ther.

Went to factory then went to bed + slept.  Ma went down to see Mrs. Mason but she wasn’t at home.   In eve went up to King’s Sons + Daughters.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                             THU. JUNE 22, 1899               Ther.

Started to mow but the machine didn’t work + I broke the cutting bar + then took it up to Ivory to get if fixed but didn’t.  In P.M. read in the Life of P.T. Barnum.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                              FRI. JUNE 22, 1900                 Ther.

Worked all day tending mason and washing buggies.  In eve took my first bath in the bath cabinet.  Ma + Rollie went to the burg in P.M.


(Aged 19)
Wea.                                              SAT. JUNE 22, 1901                Ther.

Scraped in A.M. in P.M. got out stringers.  Alice + I went over to Nordin’s Mill to get some plank but didn’t.  Stopped to supper at Andrew’s.  Ruth came home with us.

Wea.                                               SUN.  JUNE 22, 1902                Ther

Went to factory + took Alice up to church.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10TH

Editor's Note:..."but didn't".  Don't you find that happened a great deal to Allen and his friends?  They went to do something like buy a bike or a buggy but in the end "didn't".  A lot of good intentions but ultimately just good consumers perhaps?
