Friday's Ancestral Pet

I love this photo.  I doubt the dog was my father's though.  I don't think he ever had a pet.  Gram didn't seem to be an animal lover despite her farm girl upbringing.  Maybe she just didn't want the responsibility.  I believe based on nothing but my instinct that this is Mabel's backyard which abutted her father Allen's yard with Lil.  There would have been a free and easy passing between houses.
