A Day in the Life: March 23rd


(Aged 14)
Wea. Clear                                   MON. MARCH 23 1896               Ther.  34

Went to school.  Still papering the house.  Rec’d a letter from Lewis Fox, Sawyer Mich.


(Aged 16)
Wea. Rainy                                  WED. MARCH 23 1898               Ther.

Went to school had regents examination in Adv. English + Spelling.  Looked at the civics paper but couldn’t pass it.  Rode to + from school with pa.  He went to a sale + bot one cow + one bu(shel) of wheat.

Wrong season but beautiful just the same.

Wea.                                             THU. MARCH 23 1899               Ther.

Stayed at home + boiled sap all day.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                              FRI. MARCH 23 1900                 Ther.

Rode to school with Gorden Taylor.  Boiled sap it is the first we have boiled.  In eve Alice and I took a ride got home at 11:30.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL MAY 22nd



(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               SUN.  MARCH 23 1902                Ther.

Gail went to factory.  In P.M. Alice + I + the baby went over to pa’s.  Gail’s father came to see him.

NO ENTRY MADE AGAIN UNTIL MAY 1st
