Pa + Ma took the steering forks to Jamestown. I rode to school with them + rode home with Ad Cowan.

Rode my wheel to school. Played football.
(Aged 17)
Wea. THU. SEPT. 21, 1899 Ther.
NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 2nd.

Wea. FRI. SEPT. 21, 1900 Ther.
Went to school with Gordon. Found Alice at the school house. In afternoon went down by Danielson’s with Alice + we made up. And she promised to be true to me.

Wea. SAT. SEPT. 21, 1901 Ther.
Done the chores + went to town to see about getting a man. Got a bu. of peaches, a watermelon and some bananas.

Wea. SUN. SEPT. 21, 1902 Ther.
Took Pearle + Ruth up home. In eve pa took (?) out for a ride.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 3rd.
Editor's Note: Not for the first time, Alice hunts down her man and refuses to let him walk away from her. It happened back around February too. Got to love her fortitude. It seems that he is the one that is feeling vulnerable this time. Allen seems to think Alice hasn't been true to him in some regard. This came up in June too--her belief in him. He seems to need more assurance than he was getting and quite frankly, I don't think she's ever let her side down. Love that she met him after school and they went for a walk to make up. I think she's meant to be up at work in Jamestown.
