A Day in the Life: April 7th

Went to school. 


(Aged 16)
Wea.   Sunny                               THU. APRIL 7, 1898               Ther.

Went to school played football.  Had a fine game.  We ran with the ball + got in a great heap trying to stop each other.


(Aged 17)
Wea.                                             FRI. APRIL 7, 1899               Ther.

Drove to school.  John Glaspy came up to stay all night with me we boiled sap + played pedro.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                              SAT. APRIL 7, 1900                 Ther.

Pa took a grist to the burg.  It is caucus.  Drew milk there boiled sap till about two o’clock then sawed wood.  In eve Mell + Herb Bragg were down and we kicked the football.

Politics as usual.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL MAY 22nd


(Aged 20)
Wea.                                               MON.  APRIL 7, 1902             Ther.

Went to factory.  Gail drew 2 loads of hay from pa’s.  In P.M. we fixed fence up toward Springer’s in the barnyard.  The milking tube came.  Turned the cows out in front of the house.

NO ENTRY MADE AGAIN UNTIL MAY 1st

Editor's Note:  Is it just me or is it always political season?  Allen just wrote that they had caucus in February, now there's one in April and the photo is of an October rally. 

For the record, I voted this past Tuesday as well.  :-)
