A Day in the Life: February 12th

Wea. Clear                                   WED. FEB. 12, 1896                     Ther. 

Went to school.  Got a ride home with Edwin Warn

Wea.   Cold                                  SAT. FEB. 12, 1898                        Ther. 30

Grandma, Rollie + I went up to Aunt May’s.  I went to see about buying some cows guess we will get them.  The roads are getting awful muddy.
                     
 
(Aged 17)
Wea.                                              SUN. FEB. 12, 1899                       Ther. 

Got up at 6.30 + done my chores.  Took a bath + changed my clothes in A.M.  In P.M. went up to S.S. Had a pretty good time with the girls.  It’s quite cold.


(Aged 18)
Wea.                                               MON. FEB. 12, 1900                    Ther.

Stayed at home all day grandma came over.  In A.M. drew wood I drew grandma a load.  Ma took her home.

 
(Aged 19)
Wea.                                               TUE. FEB. 12, 1901                      Ther.

Made myself a crudel (?) in the morning.  (Cudgel?)


(Aged 20)

Cold Cow
Rollie + I done the chores etc.  Had a brindle cow come in got her of(f) Pat Laughland + sent for milking tubes.  Ray + Harvey were down in eve.



 
(Aged 21)
Wea.                                              THUR.  FEB.  12, 1903                 Ther.

Stayed at home all day.  Dave drew manure sold the bells to Dave.

Editor's Note:  I couldn't actually find a picture of a brindle cow in the public domain but a cow in the snow would be fairly accurate as well.  Brindle is a specific coat on animals. 

 And could it be any plainer about Allen's true "spiritual" motivation to go to Sunday School?
