Diantha Woodward Cass' (1825-1914) rocking chair holding her namesake and g-g-g-great grand-daughter Charlotte Diantha with Charlotte's big sister Alice at her side.
I know Mabel covered it in the green fabric because it was the same fabric on her "davenport" but I can still imagine Diantha sitting by her fire rocking away 100 years before this photo was taken. BTW that carpet was not purple despite what it looks like.
