Went to factory. Pa, Ma + Rollie came home.
(Aged 17)
Wea. SAT. AUG. 12, 1899 Ther.

(Aged 18)
Wea. SUN. AUG. 12, 1900 Ther.
Slept in A.M. In P.M. went up to see Alice. Rode up to town with Dunn. Alice and I went to Celeron. Remember City of New York. Stayed in town all night.
(Aged 19)
Wea. MON. AUG. 12, 1901 Ther.
Drew in all our oats that were cut -- 8 loads. Will Cronin quit work. Hired Fred Odell for the rest of this month for $5.
(Aged 20)
Wea. TUE. AUG. 12, 1902 Ther.
Cut hay drew in 2 loads.
(Aged 21)
Wea. WED. AUG. 12, 1903 Ther.
NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10th
Editor's Note: Don't know where Allen stayed up in town in 1900 but not with Alice because she would have been back at her job in service or whatever it was she did. Curious about his note to remember "City of New York". Was it a ride or a show at Celeron that he had a special moment on or at? Or was he thinking of it as a possible destination? He doesn't strike me as being lured by big cities.
