A Day in the Life: August 7th

Wea. FRI. AUG. 7, 1896 Ther.
Stayed at home in A.M. Pa + Ma went to the burg. In P.M. I went in swimming with Carson Yale, Glen Raymon + Harvey. They are thrashing up to Ed Harrington’s.

Wea. SUN. AUG. 7, 1898 Ther.
Went to factory. Grandma came over. I got breakfast + Pa milked. In eve went to Frewsburg to church.

Wea. MON. AUG. 7, 1899 Ther.
Got the reaper ready + reap all day. Got a letter from Verna White. Wrote a letter to Mable White.
(Aged 18)
Wea. TUE. AUG. 7, 1900 Ther.
Worked finished reaping. Alice went back to work. In eve went to school meeting.

Put in scaffolds in the barn.

Mowed a little. Alice came home about 8 o’clock.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10TH
Editor's Note: One in; one out with the White sisters. There is something about those girls that really gnaws at me. As you may know, I can't find them in the census and I don't how they know Allen. I don't understand why they both are so focused on Allen and I don't think Frank approves of them because of the time he "broke into" Allen's chest and read all of his letters. White is too common of a name to really narrow it down. You'd think the name Verna would be helpful in isolating possibilities but it is not. Leads anyone?
