A Day in the Life: May 13th

Wea. Fine WED. MAY 13, 1896 Ther. 75
Went to school.
(Aged 16)
Wea. FRI. MAY 13, 1898 Ther.
Rode my wheel to school took my books over to Mrs. Mason’s + left them. I am not going to school any more this spring as pa don’t think it will pay.
(Aged 17)
Wea. SAT. MAY 13, 1899 Ther.
Stayed at home all day + read. Pa + Ma went to the burg as the board met. In eve went over to Page’s. It rained.

Wea. SUN. MAY 13, 1900 Ther.
Stayed at home in the A.M. In P.M. went over to grandma’s. In eve Alice + I went to Jamestown + back for a drive. We traded hats going through Falconer and you should have seen the people look.

NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL MAY 22nd

Wea. TUE. MAY 13, 1902 Ther.
Drew horse manure to put on Jim’s potato ground. Butter went for 21 3/4 of a cent. I had 404 lbs of milk.

Dragged corn ground.
Editor's Note: It is sorry that Allen couldn't see the school year through because their was too much work on the farm. As for his ride with Alice. I love they switched hats.
