Went to school.

Went to school. Pa went down to the burg town board met. John Scudder came here to see about some cows.

Pa + Asa went to Jamestown. I went to school. Irma couldn’t go to the entertainment as her folks wouldn’t let her.

Wea. SAT. FEB. 24, 1900 Ther.
Stayed at home + slept all day. Frank Kinneston came over to see pa.
Mearle Cowan came down + stayed all night with me.
(Aged 19)
Wea. SUN. FEB. 24, 1901 Ther.
Stayed at home nearly all day. We had a chicken for dinner and it took (?) hours and a half for my dinner to settle. Then I took a bath and about four o’clock Alice, Rollie + I got started for Grandma’s. From there we went to Alice’s to see the new piano. We got home about 9.00 P.M.

I sent for a jack knife, box of cigars + repair links for chain from Sears Roebuck + Co. Drew five loads of manure. Pearle came down.

Editor's Note: Now I ask you, did Irma's parents really say she couldn't go to the entertainment or did she just want to politely let Allen down? Given his ambivalence in asking her in the first place I'm glad Irma had the last word on the matter.
Lots of cow viewing at the Cass farm the last few days. From what we can gather there is going to be a big sale there on March 15th. Speaking of, it also seems Maxwell's is a local auction place. If anyone can help me out with its history it would be appreciated.
