Editor's Note:  Allen is moving into another new career in 1899.  He and a friend he has made are starting on a new venture of booking (or billing as Allen refers to it) Magic Lantern gigs.  He says he just got it back today but I wonder from where?  Does he mean from home?  Did we even know he had a magic lantern?  I feel like we did but I don't know from when--it could just be I knew it as family legend already.  Chuck is with Edna after pay was acquired while Allen is working out his show downstairs.  Just saying.

I'm thinking this Page family is from Ellicott and relatives of Leon Page's family.  Obviously, their visits to Carroll would be to the Pages but it seems to be seen as an honor to have them visit the Cass Farm on their own.  A ring has arrived...his or hers?

In 1903, thank goodness for Lucy Thayer.  She always seems to be there in the pinch.  Alice is ill and she has a two-year-old and a 6 month old and Allen has a farm to run. That's a lot of stress for a young family.
