Went to school.  Found 2 cents.

Bert stayed with me last night.  This morning we went to the factory.  In P.M. Ma, Rollie + I  went up to the Hollow to S.S.  In the eve went down to the burg to church.

Went to school.  Broke a buggy wheel and have got to get it fixed myself as I am to work + earn my own money + bear my own expenses.  Wrote a letter to Verna White.

Rode to school with Gorden.  In eve went up to Ivory and got the mail, sent a letter to Frank Warn asking him down Friday eve.

Went to factory Gail followed.  Got a dividend of $11.44

Editor's Note:  Interesting that at age 17 Allen was to be fiscally responsible for himself.  One wonders if that conversation with his father took place before or after the buggy wheel broke.  I also wonder how much is paternal hyperbole.
