Editor's Note:  Aunt Em is Nora's sister Emma Babcock Fenton.  As previously discovered, Grandma Mason was Nora and Emma's step-mother.  Their father Harry Babcock was a serial monogamist who was married for his entire adult life to a succession of three women.  He was widowed twice before he married Mrs. Mason who outlived him to marry one Lyman Mason.  I can't find that she had children of her own but she certainly raised Nora and Emma who were young when their mother Lydia Stryker passed away.

I think Glen and Allen ought to have found other hunting buddies since they seem to be an unlucky duo.  Now I'm no hunter and one probably does come up empty more often than not in the sport but it seems to me Allen never gets his "wabbit".

And our developing romance between Alice and Allen is off to a slow start this month due to inclement weather.  Sure it was fine when they were sleighing but now dates are getting called off way too often for my liking.

  1. I am pretty sure that Alice is playing hard to get. Allen seems pretty full of himself at times.
