I would like to recommend the Eric Sloan books. They are absolutely beautiful and a wealth of knowledge. He created one on American barns. I want to cry when I see the broken back of an old barn. There is one directly across the road from my home and I take a photo of it every year to document it's demise. Oh if only someone had tried to save it 25 yrs ago. It may have had a chance...........
