A Day in the Life:  October 15th



(Aged 14)
Wea.                                            THU. OCT. 15, 1896               Ther.

Charlie + I sawed wood about 6 1/2 hrs.  Cut about 3/4 cd.  We husked corn about 3 hrs.  I husked 4 1/2  bu.

Wea.                                            SAT. OCT. 15, 1898                 Ther.

Went to factory then husk corn all day.  Eat dinner at grandma’s.

Stayed in the house nearly all day + slept.

Went to school with Gordon.  Went down to see Alice off on the train.  In eve studied till about 8 o’clock.

Will + I drew in corn.  Chas husked 12 bu.

Worked shingling on kitchen.  Gail worked in ditch.

In A.M. went up to farm and settled up with Brady.  Clint + I divided up the stock.  I sold him the team.
