A Day in the Life: July 1st
(Aged 14)
Wea. hot WED. JULY 1, 1896 Ther. 100
Worked all day. Finished the barn so the carpenters went home.
(Aged 16)
Wea. FRI. JULY 1, 1898 Ther.
Went to factory. Worked 1/2 day drawing in + raking hay.
(Aged 17)
Wea. SAT. JULY 1, 1899 Ther.
Worked all day. Drew in 5 loads of hay. In A.M. Pa went to the burg the Board of Health met. In eve pa + ma went up Erie Cowan’s to sit up with him all night. In eve I went over to Page’s + Leon + I went over in swimming.

Stayed at home in A.M. In P.M. took Alice out riding got home at 2.30 A.M.
(Aged 19)
Wea. MON. JULY 1, 1901 Ther.
Began haying on pa’s.

Wea. TUE. JULY 1, 1902 Ther.
Gail set up his stove + got his furniture from Frewsburg.
(Aged 21)
Wea. WED. JULY 1, 1903 Ther.
NO ENTRY AGAIN UNTIL OCTOBER 10th
Editor's Note: I wonder what is meant by Frank and Nora sitting up all night with Erie Cowan. Was it just a party or is it some sort of wake.
